"Flower Festival 2024" organized in Rail Coach Factory, Kapurthala

01.04.2024: Every year o­n the arrival of spring, the entire premises of Rail Coach Factory Kapurthala is filled with greenery and colorful flowers. In this connection, "Flower Festival" is being organized in RCF from the year 2022. This year in 2024, the event was  organized at Rail Coach Factory premises  from 30th March to 31st March.
In this event, the beauty and better maintenance of the gardens of the quarters participating in the Garden/Lawn competition was inspected by RCFWWO team led by its President , Mrs. T. Bhargavi Devi.
On 31.03.2024 at lake campus of RCF, a competition was organized for mixed seasonal flowers, flower arrangements, cut flowers, bonsai, perennial and ornamental plants, as well as fruits and vegetables grown in home gardens. Competition of homemade pickles, marmalade, jam/squash, rangoli made from flowers was also conducted. The flowers, fruits and home made products displayed in the flower competition were also inspected by the team of RCF Women Welfare Organization.
The prizes for various categories in the Garden/Lawn Competition and Flower Competition were distributed by the General Manager Shri S Srinivas. The General Manager,in the prize distribution ceremony congratulated all the participants and the concerned departments and RCF Women Welfare Organization for successfully organizing the event .Shri S. Srinivas said that the entire RCF colony is spreading colorful colors along with greenery due to this flower festival. He said that this time everyone started preparations for the flower festival months in advance which is apparent seeing the  high level of competition. 
A large number of employees and their family members were present at the lake complex to see all the flowers, fruits, vegetables and various products displayed by the participants.
