Hindi Pakhwada concludes at Rail Coach Factory, Kapurthala

28.09.2023, Kapurthala – “Hindi Pakhwada” was organized from 14 September to 28 September 2023 at Rail Coach Factory, Kapurthala. During the fortnight, various competitions like Hindi Essay Competition, Hindi Noting and Draft Writing Competition, Hindi Speech Competition, Hindi Seminar and Hindi Quiz were organised. RCF employees participated enthusiastically in these competitions.

The beginning of the fortnight begin o­n the occasion of “Hindi Day” o­n 14th September whereinSh. Ashesh Agrawal, General Manager RCF issued a message urging all the officers and employees to do their official work in Hindi as much as possible.

The birth anniversary of famous Hindi litterateurs was celebrated o­n 21.09.2023 and a Hindi workshop was organized o­n 22.09.2023 in which Mr. Vinod Katoch, Official Language Officerinstructed the employees of various departments to use simple Hindi in e-office and government work. Related information was given to them in the seminar .During the fortnight, employees of various departments also participated enthusiastically in the Hindi Quiz.

RajbhashaAward distribution ceremony was organized o­n 28.09.2023 in which General Manager Shri Agrawal honored all the award winners by giving them cash prizes and certificates.

In Hindi Essay Competition, Sh. Prem Prakash Sharma got first prize, Anju Bala got second, Gurmail Singh got third prize while Dhanvinder Kaur, Chet Ram Meena and Ravinder Pal got consolation awards.

In Hindi Noting and draft writing competition, Dinesh Uppal got first, Kaushalendra Gupta got second, Santosh Kumar Nirala got third while Prem Prakash, Awadhesh Ranjan and Ashwani Kumar got consolation Awards.

In the Hindi elocution competition, Asma Altaf stood first, Dhanvinder Kaur stood second, Abrar Ansari stood third while Baljeet Singh, Deepak Kumar Puri and Baljinder Singh received the consolation Award.

Under the Cash Prize Scheme of the Ministry of Home Affairs for usage of Hindi, Harvinder Kaur and Satendra received the first prize, while Rajinder Singh, Gurdeep Singh and Mamta Bhatti received the second prize. Urmila Rani, Ashwani Kumar and Hardeep Singh received the third prize.

A book depicting the history and achievements of the Rail Coach Factory was also released o­n this occasion by the General Manager.

In the award distribution ceremony, Sh. Ashesh Aggarwal said that he does most of his work in Hindi. He said that in the changing times, with the use of new technology, the propagation of Hindi is also continuously increasing.

Due to the specialty of assimilating other languages, the stock of words in Hindi language is increasing day by day and Hindi has also become a common spoken language. He laid special emphasis o­n the use of simple and easy Hindi.

Shri Gagandeep ,Chief Official Language Officer highlighted the efforts being made for the promotion of the official language in the Railway Coach Factory. Official Language Officer Shri Vinod Katoch presented the report of the activities undertaken in Hindi in the fortnight and the year and also presented the vote of thanks.

All the Principal Heads of Departments and Heads of Departments of RCF were present in the award distribution ceremony.
