Shri. Ashwani Lohani, Chairman, Railway Board visits Rail Coach Factory, Kapurthala
Kapurthala, 05.05.2018: Shri. Ashwani Lohani, Chairman, Railway Board, New Delhi visited Rail Coach Factory, Kapurthala on 05.05.2018. It was his first visit to RCF and was given a warm reception on his arrival.
Shri Ashwani Lohani held deliberate discussions with Sh. Satya Prakash Trivedi, General Manager on issues related with RCF. A presentation was made before him on various aspects of RCF, briefed on infrastructure of RCF, facilities provided and latest developments in hand viz. production of new genre coaches.
Shri Lohanilater visited RCF workshop where he was apprised of coach manufacturing processes.He inspected coaches being manufactured with upgraded technology and had a comprehensive discussion on Tejas coaches with RCF top officials. Shri Lohani interacted with workers working on machines and coaches which was well received with enthusiasm. Impressed upon working ofstaff, he presented cash awards to three employees on the spot.
Chairman Railway Board also interacted with RCF officersand had purposeful discussions with them on various issues, assuring full support from Railway Board.
He also held a meeting with members of recognized unions ofRCF in which he was elaborated upon various issues which RCF is facing in coach production. He stressed upon the importance of cordial relations between unions and administration , at the same time he made it very clear that discipline and misbehavior will not be tolerated .
ShriAshwani Lohani , while appreciating RCF’s contribution in making Indian Railways attuned to world standards , stressed upon RCF to work hard to regain its apex position in coach manufacturing. He praised RCF employees that they have worked hard to bring industrial boom in the region and the state of Punjab .Their unmatched skill and perseverance has delivered making RCF a jewel in the crown of Indian Railways. Oflate, though the production has suffered , but RCF has immense potential to surpass the standards set by ICF, Chennai and MCF, Rae Bareli in coach production. RCF shall also follow the best practices of Integral Coach Factory , Chennai and Modern Coach Factory, Rae Bareli to enhance its production . He said that he isoptimistic of RCF’sperspective that it will soon multiply its coach production and Railway Board will provide every assistance to it so that its name is again at the top among all production units of Indian Railways.
